Originally from Sanderson, FL., Maria’h Givens earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2016. She then graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 2019. While in law school, Maria’h served as President of the Black Law Students Association and was a member of the Mock Trial Team where she participated in several competitions and served as a student coach. She also completed over 150 pro bono hours, served as a mentor at Griffin Middle School and was a Fellow with the Innovative Community Engagement Foundation. Prior to joining the firm, Maria’h worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney’s Office, 2nd Judicial Circuit in the juvenile and misdemeanor divisions where she handled motion hearings, trials, plea negotiations and case management/docket soundings in court.
